Loving husband & best friend of Bev. Dear father of Tim (Suzanne), Mark (Kathleen), Scott, Debora (Kevin) and Tomas (Caroline). Beloved grandfather of 10 grandchildren. Survived by his sister Marilyn Kirkness (Watt). He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Wednesday August 20th, 2008 from 10 am – 12 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 1 pm. Cremation. Memorial Donations may be made to a Charity of your Choice.

(nee Ingram)
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with loved ones by her side on Wednesday August 13th, 2008 at the age of 66.
Proud mother of Tammy Piggott, Julie & her husband Frank Emrich and Jeffrey Robinson & his wife Lindsey. Cherished Nana of Mitchell, Emma and Lily. Karen will be dearly missed by her loving mother Thelma Ingram, sister Kaye & Mel Boxell and brother Glenn Ingram. Predeceased by her father Douglas Ingram and brother Eric Ingram. A valued long time resident of Bowmanville and active member of St. Paul’s United Church, Karen will be forever in the hearts of her many dear friends. Karen will be fondly remembered as a wonderful kindergarten teacher for over 40 years.
Friends will be received at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville for visitation on Sunday August 17th, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at ST.PAUL’S UNITED CHURCH, 178 Church St. Bowmanville on Monday August 18th, 2008 at 2 pm. A Private interment will follow at Burnbrae Cemetery in Campbellford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre or The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation for Brain Cancer Research.

THOMAS FREDERICK REHDER
(Lifelong resident of Bowmanville)
In his 87th year at Lakeridge Health Oshawa as a result of acute respiratory distress syndrome.
Loving husband of Catherine Mary (nee Tarlington). Beloved father of Jennifer & Fred Horne. Predeceased by his brothers Lawrence (Dec. 1981) and Ned (July 2008). Left to mourn his passing are sister Barbara Watson, brother Bob (Margaret) Rehder, sister in law Mignon Rehder, nieces, nephews, the Horne family, cousins and his many friends. Metallurgist and family business manager of the Bowmanville Foundry Company until 1988, Tom was best known for his love of ballroom dancing. He was also an accomplished photographer. He played the organ, piano, accordion and harmonica. In his younger years, Tom was an avid sailor, sportsman and loved nature. He loved animals, especially Britney Spaniels.
Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Sunday August 17th, 2008 from 2-5 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday August 18, 2008 at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH at 3:30 pm. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to the Clarington Museum & Archives.

Moon, Maurice James

MAURICE JAMES MOON
Passed away courageously on Monday August 11, 2008 at Bowmanville Hospital in his 77th year with family by his side.
Born in Peterborough, he was the eldest son of Almer and Rhea Moon, brother of Marilyn and the late Peter. Maurice was the beloved husband of Helen for 55 years and loving father of Greg (Karen Kettle), Jeff (Anne Marie), Karen (Rick Southwell) and Jodi (Andrew Petrie). His six grandchildren, Matthew and Megan Southwell, Nathalie, Jean-Luc and Patrick Moon, and Christopher Petrie were the pride and joy of his life. Maurice will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will be remembered for his generosity and concern for loved ones, his sense of humour and his mischievious nature.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Private “Celebration of Life” was held at the Little Lake Chapel with Rev. Norman Seli officiating. If desired, Memorial Donations made to the R.S. McLaughlin Cancer Centre in Oshawa, the Medical/Surgical Department at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Drost, Anna Regina

Peacefully, at her residence on August 7,2008, Anna Regina Drost (Sokolowsky) went to be with her Lord.
Anna was born on May 6, 1923, in London England en-route to Canada with her Polish-born parents. They settled in Yahk, British Columbia, where Anna was raised. She met her future husband, Neville Inman Drost, in Cranbrook, B.C. They married and settled in Toronto and later moved outside the city to Mississauga. Anna is predeceased by Neville who died on May 31, 1996. Surviving are Anna’s daughters, Sharon (Peter) Allen of Florenceville, NB and Pamela (David) Hodgson of Orono, ON; grandchildren Sarah, Seth & Shanna Allen and Jeremy, Jennilee & Daniel Hodgson; sister Lillian Lawley of San Diego, California; brother Edmond (Judy) Skolsky of North Vancouver, BC; three nieces, four nephews, their spouses & families, and many friends. Anna was a member of the Orono Horticultural Society and an avid gardener. Her colourful plant and flower arrangements will be missed.
A Celebration of Anna’s life will be held on Thursday August 14th, 2008 in the hall at the Durham County Senior Citizen’s Complex in Orono. Visitation will commence at 10:30 am , service at approx 12:00 with a light lunch following. In lieu of flowers, in Anna’s memory, donations can be made to the Durham Church Network (Courtice) where Anna attended, or to the Lakeridge Health Hospital, Bowmanville. Many heartfelt thanks to Dr. Howard Burke, CCAC, Paramed nurses, Personal Attendant Care, and St. Elizabeth PSW’s! Beloved wife of the late Harry. Survived by her children Joanne Draper (Rick), Scott (Deanna) and Jamie (Rose). Jean will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Shannon, Kerri, Tynan, Devon and Sarah and great grandson James. Dear sister of Lois Prescott of Vancouver and the late Roy McMullen.
